Getting Here
If you wish to leave your car at home there are flights to Newquay
from Manchester, Newcastle, Birmingham, Gatwick, Bristol and Dublin
(See airsouthwest.com).
Trains stop at Par station only three miles down the road.
We are happy to pick people up from the local stations and airports.
Fowey is a very picturesque town on a beautiful estuary. In the summer
the harbour is full of yachts and a variety of visiting boats.
Local boatmen offer trips up the river to Golant, Lerryn, and Lostwithiel
(when the tides are right) and Polperro and Looe (weather dependant).
There are ferries to Bodinnick, Polruan and Mevagissey and Fowey
Adventures offer boat trips out to Looe Island. Wildlife is prolific
and Basking Sharks and Dolphins are not uncommon.
Fowey has a good selection of pubs where the food is very good and
children and dogs are welcome, as well as a variety of restaurants
to suit all tastes and price ranges.
